Fenceline communites - communities which claim destructive impact of irresponsible Royal Dutch Shell - include Erris/Mayo/Ireland for the first time on Monday 26 June 2005
The Other Shell Report is a shadow-report prepared by Friends of the Earth each year. It gives fenceline communities the opportunity to record their dissatisfaction with Royal Dutch Shell in their backyards.
For the very first time Ireland/ Mayo / Erris becomes a Royal Dutch Shell fenceline commnunity.
The serious community impact in Erris is now added to those of the USA , South Africa, Nigeria,Venezuela, Bazil, the Phillipines...
The Report was launched simultaneously on the eve of the AGMs of Royal Dutch Shell in London and the Hague.
Shell to Sea is represented in the Hague by Maura Harrington. A Shell to Sea demonstration will also take place today during the AGM. She will make copies of The Other Shell Report to the public on her return. Information available about the events on Friends of the earth website. The Observer of last Sunday gave comments on Royal Dutch Shell.
