French voters reject EU Constitution

Huge turnout see France reject the EU Constitution-a rejection of a neo-liberal Europe?

BBC:

"French voters have overwhelmingly rejected the European Union's proposed constitution in a key referendum.
Almost 55% of people voted "No" and 45% "Yes" on Sunday, according to final interior ministry figures"

TF1 (roughly the French TV3, except no. 1 in the ratings):

Une large majorité d'électeurs rejette le traité constitutionnel européen. Le non obtient 54,87% des suffrages contre 45,13% pour le oui. La très forte participation, notamment dans les terres traditionnelles de gauche, a profité au non.

I'd like to think there's a few "Yes for the children and we don't want the French mad at us" voters for Nice who feel a bit stupid right now. I doubt it, but I'd like to think so. The Eurocrats are already calling on Chirac to run the referendum again a la Bertie...
