Good for you for organizing this. We must not let Canada think that after two days of slaughtering seals the noise will stop for another year, when the slaughter will start again. Canada has chosen to be dragged back into the civillized word kicking and screaming and the civlized world is all too ready to do that. And we will.

I agree - I will not rest on this matter until I see that Canada is listening. I am a US citizen and registered voter. Also a seafood lover... but thanks to new regulations, I know where my seafood comes from now and make the choice to NOT buy Canadian seafood. Nor will I travel to Canada as planned earlier this year. This practice of "hunting" seals must stop. Have you ever heard of such a ridciulous thing? What kind of world are we living in when we allow our neighbors to look into the eyes of a healty, defensless animal and torture, mutilate and kill them - just because they have fur?!?!? What if the rest of us went around skinning Canadians "just for their skin". Shame, shame...

By being sucked in by a bunch of lying hypocritical bastards who would mislead and exploit the ignorant and simple minded with vicious propoganda merely for the sake of filling up the coffers of their fund, reveals the level of your good judgment.

The seal hunt is the humane harvesting of a natural resource upon which the livlihood of many honest and hard working coastal people depends. The well managed harvesting does not in any way endanger the sustainablity of the huge herds, in fact the opposite is true.

If you need a legitimate cause to espouse, you might better turn your attention to the pillaging of the world's fish stocks by the pirares of the sea. How knowledgeable are you about what is going on on that portion of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland that is outside Canadian jurisdiction?
