The first visually recorded interview with Mordechi Vanunu, Israeli nuclear whistleblower will be shown in Limerick tonight at UL at 8pm
Mordechi Vanunu the israeli nuclear whistleblower, kidnapped and jailed in 1986 for revealing Israels secret nuclear programme was released in April 2004. Since then he has been living in St George's Cathedral in East Jerusalem under restrictions imposed by Israel. He is not allowed travel outside the country or visit foregin embassies. He is not allowed talk to foreigners or to give interviews. However two members of the Limerick branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign have just returned from Jerusalem where they recorded an interview with Vanunu in which he speaks about his revelations, his time in prison and the current situation in Palestine.
This interview is being screened in UL tonight at the innaugrual meeting of the UL Palestine Solidarity Society.
The speakers will also give an account of their recent visit to the region

you get some real assholes here, the significane is that its the first visual recodring of this guy in almost 20 years, being a pedantic is making you look like an idiot , cant you grasp what the sifnificance of this is or is your head to far up your ass
First screening, sure didnt i see him on the bbc a few months back, newsnight i think but i could be wrong,when someone 'happened' to meet him at some sort of garden get together, and they just happened to have their cameras and be reporters, by chance of course. It may not have been a proper interview but it was how should i put it a directed conversation giving us insights into his experiences and beliefs. Looks like you missed the scoop, but this does not reduce the significance of new material from him and further interviews.
