Meeting to launch campaign against EU Constitution.

there will be a meeting next Saturday, January 29, at 2.00 in the Teachers
Club to launch a NO campaign for the coming referendum on the EU
Constitution.

The meeting is being convened by PANA, The Peoples' Movement, and DAPSE -
representatives of which will speak briefly at the start of the meeting.

We hope to launch a broad-based and open campaign, based upon critiques of the Constitution with regard to the further militarisation of the EU, the
further erosion of democracy, and the enshrinement of neo-liberalism in European constitutional law. We see this campaign as coming from a Left / sustainability perspective, but appealing to a broad constituency.

The Mayor of London Mr. Ken Livingstone said on bbc1 last Thursday night question show that he would be voting yes to the EU constitution even thoug they are parts of it which he would like to see included have been left out.
Ann Widdecombe of the Torys said she would be voting No to the eu constitution on the Mrian Finucane show 31/1/05
