Monday 24th January @ 8pm
All welcome to attend...
At the end of this month the President of the World Bank James Wolfensohn will meet with a representative of the IMF and the World Council of Churches in Dublin Castle for 2 days to discuss 'faith & development'. For us as socialists this event has huge significance as the World Bank & IMF embody the very capitalist system we struggle against but this visit will also resonate with all those who recently organised themselves to support the victims of the Tsunami. Due to the general political radicalisation happening all around us the arguments for dropping the debt & also military spend comparisons very quickly came to the fore in the days after the disaster happened. Now we all have a collective chance to face these capitalist demons face to face and say no to the profit before people world they want to sustain. All are welcome to attend tonight's discussion, hope to see you there.
