Introduction to Political, Economic and Development Issues in Latin America
The second of a two-day workshop (19th Feb & 5th March) providing an Introduction to Latin American Issues
in the second day of this two-day workshop, we will look at the political and economic forces shaping Latin American peoples’ lives today. We will look at how globalisation, neoliberalism, the debt crisis and trade agreements impact on Latin America and how governments there respond to these forces. Additionally we will examine how the people of Latin America are responding to the current development crisis, whether by ballot, bullet or barricade.
Workshop consists of 2 Saturdays(19/2 and 5/3) , Time: 10am-4.30pm
