Introduction to Socio-cultural issues in Latin America

The first of a two-day workshop (19th Feb & 5th March) providing an Introduction to Latin American Issues

in the first day of thistwo-day workshop, we will examine the forces that have shaped Latin American socio-cultural reality today, from pre-colonial times to the present. It will provide an insight into the differences from region to region and between the various ethnic and racial groups in Latin America. Forces which shape every day life such as housing, family structure, religion, social movements, gender issues will be looked at.

Workshop consists of 2 Saturdays(19/2 and 5/3) , Time: 10am-4.30pm
Venue: LASC, 5 Merrion Row, Dublin 2

Price: €45/€35 LASC member, unemployed, student or OAP.
