Come and help lobby the council 'Area Meeting' at 4pm on Monday Dec 6th
On Monday the 6th of December, the 'Area Meeting' for Dundrum of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Council is being held in the council offices in Dundrum. These offices are in the building at the back of the Bank of Ireland along the Main Street, down beside where you now go to get the Luas.
At the Area Meeting, issues local to the Dundrum area are discussed and it is essential that we get the new swimming pool on the agenda. Following the Area Meetings for each area throughout the council area, there will be an 'Estimates' meeting which decides the expenditure and other priorities for the council for the following year. If we want the new pool to be on the council radar, we therefore MUST ensure it is brought up at this Area Meeting, otherwise it the councils will use it as an excuse.
We are asking people to show their support and come down to the council offices from 4pm to lobby the council on this issue. Please help make our presence as colourful and visible as possible and bring banners, make placards or whatever you feel is suitable.
