This public meeting is a follow on from one co-hosted by ISF Outreach, DAPSE & AEIP.

This public meeting is a follow on from ESF Feedback / ISF Discussion meeting co-hosted a few weeks back by the ISF Outreach Working Group, DAPSE (Democracy and Public Services in Europe) and AEIP (Another Europe Is Possible).

2.00 to 4.00pm, Saturday 27th Nov. 2004,
Teachers Club,
Parnell Sq.,
Dublin 1.

Having discussed the good and the bad about the recent European Social Forum at the last meeting (Sat. Nov. 6th), we moved on to a more local focus to discuss the Irish Social Forum. One popular idea was to focus our efforts on, the Dublin Social Forum - perhaps as well as, or indeed, instead of the ISF.

So this meeting on Saturday 27th November is for all who want to help visualise and then hammer out realistic future goals for hosting Dublin (or Irish) Social Forums - and who hopefully will then also help to do the legwork to make sure the event runs smoothly.

SUGGESTIONS From Last Meeting (more most welcome):
- When picking themes pick things that are relevant to peoples everyday lives - the bins and incinerators for example.
- Bring the Social Forum space to the suburbs and host them in community centres with the locals setting the themes relevant to them for example.
- Topics such as: The G8; War; EU Constitution; Waste Management; Housing; and Privatisation, were suggested as possible themes for any future DSF (Dublin Social Forum).
- Possible dates and times such as: one day city centre on a theme last Saturday of every second month; three weekends between Feb. and July 2005;

ends.
