Public Meeting

Monday Nov 8th @ 8pm
Speaker
Sinéad Ní Bhroin
Irish Anti War Movement
Where now for the Anti Capitalist Movement
This years European Social Forum brought together over 20,000 activists from throughout Europe all seeking another Europe, another world. The bloody occupation of Iraq continues to be the harshest reminder we could have of the destructive nature of the neo-liberal agenda. But the movements are growing in strength & diversity. The struggles against war, racism & capitalism are beginning to link up. The warmongers & cavaliers of capital now face a more confident, organised resistance who understand their strength, believe in an alternative, & can work together in the fight against war, racism, social injustice , privatisation, & for a sustainable environment.

It has been decided to postpone tonight’s forum to allow instead for a discussion on the re election of George Bush. There is a mixture of anger and despair out there about last weeks result, for Iraq, Palestine and indeed for the rest of the world. So we need to be able to take on the arguments, capture the anger and convert the despair into actions. We look forward to some good debate and analysis.
I think you got your answer. A statement like the following can only come from one who has hitched their wagon to the Death Star.
"So we need to be able to take on the arguments, capture the anger and convert the despair into actions."
Yes, Sinead Ni Bhroin is now a signed up member of the Socialist Workers Party. Once again, they directly own all the key positions in the IAWM. A front, a front, a front, a front, how often does it have to be said?
She IS now 100% an SWP member. No surprise there, though.
