US Military out of Shannon
End the occupation of Iraq

Irish Anti War Movement
Rathmines
Public Meeting

Monday 20th September
8.30pm upstairs in Madison’s Pub

Last week saw one of the worst weeks of attacks against the Iraqi people since the war began. At least one hundred people were killed with hundreds more injured mostly from US air attacks on innocent civilians in Falluja, Mosul, Tel Afar, Sadr City and Baghdad. These continuous bloody attacks against ordinary Iraqis are a clear indicator that the US, Allawi and his puppet Government are losing control throughout the country. Richard Holbrooke, a former US Ambassador to the UN said last week “Strategically and politically, the situation in Iraq is worse than it ever was in Vietnam, and deteriorating”.

By allowing the continued use of Shannon & Baldonnel Airports the Irish Government is giving its full support and a big George Bush thumbs up to the illegal occupation of Iraq by the US war machine.

The Irish Anti War Movement will be launching it’s US Military out of Shannon Campaign next month and needs the support of all local groups in really taking on the Irish Government for continuing to ignore the people of Ireland when they call for US miliary out of Shannon.

Come to the meeting on Monday to discuss how we can work together to end the use of our airports by US military and in turn get the warmongers out of Iraq.
