For a little over 360 days a year Dun Laoghaire is a tranquil leafy locale, but all that changes on the last weekend in August, as The Festival of World Cultures explodes into life with over 100 events taking place in 35 venues throughout Dun Laoghaire. The Festival is Ireland's leading intercultural festival - a dazzling weekend of internationally renowned acts and local talent - music, film, circus, theatre, dance performances, club nights, markets, exhibitions, workshops and children’s activities. With over 70% of the programme free to the public; on the streets, in the parks, on the

The Festival of World Cultures is made possible through the generous sponsorship by O2, continued partnerships with the British Council, Oxfam Ireland and support from many other cultural organisation and local businesses.
