SUPPORT THE US ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT – SAY NO TO BUSH
On Saturday August 29th hundreds of thousands of US citizens will take to the streets of New York to protest against George Bush and his agenda of war and corporate greed.

The protest will take place on the eve of the Republican Party convention that Bush hopes to use as a platform for his campaign to be re-elected as US president in November. It is vital that we do everything we can to support the anti-war movement in the US as they continue to build on the massive opposition to Bush and his war agenda.

BUSH LIES – WHO DIES?
Bush has lied to the world about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. At least, 10,000 and possibly as many as 35,000 Iraqi civilians, have died as a result of the US invasion.
There has been no liberation of the Iraqi people. Allawi the new Iraqi Prime-minister is a US puppet. He was handpicked by the US and was a CIA agent for over twenty years.

He has re-introduced the death penalty and banned independent TV station Al Jazeera. The US gave him the power to ban political parties and candidates from elections and workers are not allowed join trade unions. The US has replaced the dictatorship of Saddam with a new dictatorship.

All polls show the mass of Iraqis want the US to leave their country. Instead the US continues to use brutal methods to suppress resistance and opposition to the occupation. Bush’s warmongering has also encouraged Sharon’s government in Israel to escalate its war against the Palestinians. 2,000 Palestinians have died over the last two years at the hands of Israel.

Here in Ireland, our government continues to support Bush’s war agenda by allowing thousands of US troops through Shannon every month. The vast majority of people in this country want the US military out of Shannon – yet the government ignores democracy and continues to collaborate with Bush.

The supporters of war have often accused the anti-war movement of being anti-American. This is nonsense. There are millions of people in the US who oppose Bush and his war. We must use every opportunity to show our solidarity with the US anti-war movement and end the collaboration of our government with the US war machine.

END THE OCCUPATION OF IRAQ
US MILITARY OUT OF SHANNON
