Stop the Apartheid Wall

A Proetst will take place on the 28th August at Cement Roadstone Holdings Office on the Belgard Road in Tallaght. We invite anyone to come on board organising it and having a say in what we should do.

Cement Roadstone Holdings are involved in the building of the Apartheid wall in the West Bank, CRH own a 25% stake in the Mashav Group, an Israeli holding company for Nesher Cement, who is the sole producer of cement in Israel.

Nesher Cement is providing cement for the construction of the Apartheid Wall, currently being constructed by Israel in the West Bank. Given Nesher's monopoly position in the region, Amnesty International earlier this year raised questions as to the company's involvement in the construction of the Apartheid Wall.

The Tallaght and Clondalkin branches Of the SWP are organizing a demonstration outside the CRH offices off the Belgard Road in Tallaght to raise the issue and call on CRH to put an end to their involvement in the building of the wall and specifically to sell their interest in Nesher cement.
I personally, and the SWP branches feel that it’s important that this demonstration is not the property of the usual activists. Similarly, it’s too important an issue to be the property of any one group. Anyone who’s living in the area and wants to get involved - be they green, anarchist, Labour - whatever please contact me below.
We leafleted the Square in Tallaght today and got a good response – it could be good, It’ll be a lively demonstration where we’ll be toppling a model of the wall, but anyone with any other ideas post here. Artists/musicians/anyone!
