Anti-War activists show their support for Mary Kelly who is shortly facing re-trial on charges resulting from her disarming of an American Warplane en-route to Iraq.
She did nothing more than her civic duty under the terms of the Nurenberg war crimes tribunal that states and protect the Irish constitution.

"Individuals have the duty to violate domestic laws to prevent crimes against the peace and humanity from occuring"

If convicted, she faces up to ten years in Jail.

Support Mary Kelly
Mary Kelly is due to go on trial again in County Clare on June 15th. She needs the support of everybody in the anti-war movement.
The Anti-War Ireland 'Clare campaign' in support of Mary Kelly started today. Mary's trial for decommissioning a US warplane at Shannon Airport begins on June 15th and it is crucial that people mobilise to support her in practical ways. If you can't attend a protest or support event, then make a financial donation to her support team. But please do something practical to help out in the coming weeks!

There will be street leafletting every Saturday in Ennis from 12:30pm onwards. The aim is to let people in Ennis know about Mary, why she took the action, the nature of the Irish participation in the assault on Iraq and Mary's defense in International Law. We need as many people as possible to help.

Please contact Liz Tully (co-ordinator) c/o rjhennessy@eircom.net for more information.

To David, Colm, Val, Paula,Maggie, Fiona Aisling ,Deborah Cara and Deborah and Fairview antiwar group.

Great support work in Ennis, thank you all for making the trip there last Saturday, and making it a very successful day .

The support from the street is fantastic, as we are learning in Galway every week, and a great focus for people to express their fears and outrage, for e.g. the most recent intimidation by the Co Clare Gardai as instructed by their CIA masters to find out the occupants of every household in Shannon, their personal details and if they will be a "threat" to George Bush! The only response to these Gardai, WHO SHOULD BE INSPECTING THE US WARPLANES landing illegally at Shannon and loaded with undeclared weapons of mass destruction, chemical weapons, torture equipment and prisoners, is to firmly close the door on them, and contact the local councillors TD's and media and insist that this State fascism is exposed right now.

I really appreciate all the people who are raising awareness about my trial, thank you!

Mary
