No Treaty About Us Without Us (seminar, Dublin, April 26)
The seminar aims to stimulate debate within the disability sector in Ireland, and in wider Europe, about the current state of play in relation to the development of a UN Convention to Promote and Protect the Rights and Dignity of People with Disabilities. The meeting will launch a Statement of Consensus between all key disability sector stakeholders.
It will provide an opportunity for key stakeholders, and disability organisations to review the current draft of the UN Convention as produced by the Working Group in January 2004.
It will update participants on the key issues to be addressed in relation to the current version of the Treaty and explore the crucial role that the EU Presidency needs to play in the UN Convention process.
There is no cost attached to attending but places must be booked in advance & are limited.
