Planning on heading to Dublin for Mayday?

Come along to the meeting at Queens Student Union Thur 22nd April 8pm to organise for the Mayday No Borders Weekend in Dublin. The meeting will take place in either in the conference room or if the weather is nice in the Green Action roof garden. (Take the back stairs of the Union to the very top for both locations). Tell porters or staff your going to Green Action.

Activists from the Dublin Grassroots network are calling for a European day of action in Dublin on Saturday, May 1st, as the highlight of a weekend of action from Friday April 30th, to Monday May 3rd. These days of action will focus on symbols of all that is wrong with the EU as it currently stands: militarism, neo-liberalism, fortress Europe and the EU police state. We are inviting people from all over Europe, and the world, to join us in Dublin on Mayday to show our leaders that their agenda for EU integration, driven by the wealthy and powerful, will face resistance. We will also be using the days of action to highlight local issues and campaigns that are linked to the broader problems of corporate globalisation and the EU.

Thursday meeting will:
*Outline the Dublin Grassroots plan for No Borders Weekend
*Organise for a Belfast posse to head down
*Form affinity groups to participate in particular actions.
*Outline the help & support needed in Dublin over the weekend

If you’re planning to come down to Dublin it’ll be useful to come along get up to speed in order to fully participate in the event.
