COSTELLO TO ADDRESS 1916 COMMEMORATION CEREMONY

The Labour Party spokesperson on Justice and Law Reform, Mr Joe Costello T.D., will deliver the oration at this years Annual Easter 1916 Commemoration Ceremony, which takes place at the Republican Plot in Sligo Cemetery on Easter Monday next at 12 Noon.

Alderman Declan Bree will preside at the event, which is being held under the auspices of the Sligo/Leitrim Constituency Council of the Labour Party.

Mr Costello, who is a native of Geevagh, Co. Sligo, is Labour T.D. for the Dublin Central Constituency. A teacher and trade unionist, Deputy Costello is widely admired for his campaigning zeal on civil and human rights issues.

Those attending the commemoration are requested to assemble at Cairns Drive at 11.50.a.m. on Easter Monday morning.
