Community Radio Information Day for aspirant groups (Athlone, April 17)


In response to the growing interest in community radio throughout Ireland, Craol (Ireland's Community Radio Forum) has organised an Information Day (10am-4pm)in the Royal Hoey Hotel, Athlone for Saturday April 17th, 2004.

While this event is aimed primarily at Aspirant Groups it will also be of interest to any community group, statutory organisation or individual seeking information on any aspect of community radio in Ireland. It will also give Craol an opportunity to outline its role and future plans for the community radio sector.

The event itself will feature a series of presentations and workshops covering such issues as Funding, Licensing, Training, Programming, Transmission, Volunteers, Staffing, etc. Contributors will be experienced personnel from the community radio sector and the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI).

The Community Radio Information Day is free of charge although numbers are limited and a light lunch will be provided.
