Irish Children

On the last mass deportation it is rumoured that there were two Irish children deported. While we should not discriminate due to birth the Irish government has a constitutional obligation to protect Irish children and deporting them into an unfavourable situation is not the way to protect them. It is incredible that the government will attempt to protect the "unborn child" yet when the child is born seems to say Fair game

They were deported because they got to the end of the asylum process and were found not to have a valid case for asylum. Thence they were sent back to where they came from. They were always welcome to apply for visas to come here legitimately but choose not to do so. They were in flagrant breach of immigration law. the penalty for this is that you are sent home. That is the same as any other democratic country. Legitimate asylum seekers are more than welcome. Chancers only spoil it for the legimate ones aswell as tieing up valuable resources in investigating their claims and so delaying the claims of legimate asylum seekers

What about the two Irish citizens deported then?

The current law is that kids born on the island are irish citizens.

While it is difficult to prove since they have already been deported, stories are emerging that irish kids ARE being deported - even last week!

How shameful it is that so few will stand up or express any rage that a government would deport its own citizens!

id usually be right there supporting anti-racist campaigns but this one confuses me...

there's the concept that there should be no nations.... right, alot of ppl on here would except that but i don't know if you could ever convince joe soap of that...

maybe i wrong but it seems to me that when it comes to racism and deportations people seem to claim that only asylum seekers and refugees are under attack what about ... straightforward economic migrants they not categoriesed in the above right?, now these economic migrants are under threat too and they shouldn't be but aren't there just as many or more economic migrants who entered the country illegaly s there is asylum seekers, i don't blame them for coming here to seek a life and is it not as valid as reason to come here as feeling violence

perhaps rar et al should if they haven't already admit that many migrants have come here illegally (putting aside, the no one is illegla arguement) but becuase of economic reasons.. not to be welfare tourists but to be im a country that once they settle in should be able to have a much better standard of living then in their own country ...

the pregnancy thing most refers to north africans does it, how many children do people from that area have traditionally ... i sorta presumed that coming from a less developed country that they would general have large families, as we once did a few years back, and that they are often pregnant when they come here becasue they are in their say mid twenties and decide to come here becasue they are pregnant and want to give their child a better life rather then getting pregnant so that _they_ can stay here....

i dunno the loophole is being stretched ill say the problem is as with Nice and et al a yes or no referedum isnt the solution to things....

They are irish children, if their parents are deported, the children should be placed in loving female homes like mine, with irish/northern irish families, like mine, as i love brown/black/yellow irish/northern irish babies, and babies of any colour too.

Yes those brown babies should be put in loving female homes. That is very important. The lack of love in some households creates situations that lead to racism and corruption (like in the planning tribunals). Keep up the good work fighting for those female houses, you truely are a sharp housewife.
