Public lecture by Andrew O Baoill

Much has been said about the technical shortcomings of electronic voting, but less attention has been paid to the social aspects of the issue. In this talk Andrew O Baoill will draw on theorists such as Ivan Illich and Jurgen Habermas to critique the technophilic drive towards electronic voting, and highlight some of the damage it is likely to cause to the political process.
