Emergence - Connecting Creativity, Consciousness and Ecology
A symposium exploring the connections and synergies between spirituality, creativity and ecology. Spontaneous emergence of self-organisation from chaos is now understood to be fundamental to the way the universe works. Gaia is a self-organising, complex, adaptive living system. Understanding this is key to the successful reintegration of human activity into the biosphere as a whole. Emergent phenomena can energise and inspire human creativity and help us build a new paradigm based on reciprocity and engagement with the natural world. This special event aims to reveal aspects of this new science and show its application to modern society.
