Beyond the Concept of Waste
Environmental consultant Jack O'Sullivan explores the concept of Zero Waste. The only real and effective solution to our mounting waste management problem is the Zero Waste approach. Is it possible to break the connection between economic growth and the growth in the amount of waste we produce? Is it possible to not produce materials which cannot be recycled back into the earth's systems? Zero waste really means following nature and in nature the waste products of every living organism serve as raw materials for some other living creature. If we are aware of that then we can do without large landfill sites and incineration.
