Blockades continue!

Late on the third day of blockades in Fingal, three bin trucks are still being held by residents and bin tax activists in North Dublin. One of the trucks has been held since early on Thursday morning.

There were no bin collections scheduled to take place in West Dublin today.

Fingal Council officials have been serving injunctions on protestors at the North Dublin blockades. The protestors remain defiant. So far there have been no arrests.

The weekend will provide a space for the organisation of massive blockades on Monday and Tuesday. On those days collections are scheduled for the heartlands of the Fingal campaign (which is why the council started non-collection on a Wednesday).

Solidarity blockades in the Corporation area this morning have been much appreciated by Fingal activists.
