Lord Milner of Leeds AE, one of the two Labour hereditary peers elected
in November 1999 to continue in the House of Lords, has died.
This will mean a byelection. However the Act states that the electorate for such a byelection are the other elected hereditary peers in the same party. As Labour has only two peers, this means an electorate of one (Lord Rea). He can choose from the following candidates:
Lord Grantchester
Lord Kennet
Lord Monkswell
Viscount Samuel

This seat in the Hous of Lords is rightfully mine.
Sure Pat you have no problem with the feudal house of lords. You don't care how those English rule 'themselves'.
I'm sure if their was an Irish house of lords you'd have no problem with it either. 'As long as it has not foreign influence and is dominated by the native capitalist and landlord class'.
Actually having worked out my family tree I reckon that I am the rightful High King of Ireland. Kneel ye Vassals!
Glad to see you back pussy. I really missed you.
Well it the only pussy you'll ever see!!
For once a good riposte from my feline friend. Could I play the Owl to your Pussycat? Let us elope together! We could be maried by the Turkey who lives on the hill (Peter Hadden).
