Irish being ripped of by Ticketmaster

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Friday August 29, 2003 00:25author by concert goer

Make your voice heard

A site has been set up to see just how many people there are who object to the rip off they are subjected to everytime they buy a ticket for an event.

started 3 days ago and 1666 people have signed the petition so far

The Competition authority will go and investigate the scam if there are enough people who sign the petitions.

If you are sick of paying 2 to 5 euro on top of each ticket, no matter how many you buy at once, then now is your chance to make your opinion heard and have it stopped.

Its a total scam and we shouldnt tolerate it.

You dont pay a "handling charge" on top of the price of each item in Tescos do you?

Sign a petition and leave a comment.........

.......... and spread the word!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.
There are still some ways to avoid paying for charges:

If you go into The Point or The Olympia box office they dont charge you a fee for buying tickets.

I think the National Concert Hall is the only place who will take bookings over the phone with a credit card and not charge you for it!

The rest dont give you a choice, you are penalised for purchasing!!

You see daddy will picking up the tab for ticketmaster (and all their other bills) The massive rip off being carried out by ticketmaster and most Irish business class does not really effect them, it effects the lower orders.
