Just a quick reminder that the IPSC will be marking the 36th anniversary of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza on Thursday June 5th with a peaceful all-day protest outside the Israeli Embassy in Ballsbridge (opposite Jury's Hotel), Dublin 4. Staff will probably remain at the Embassy until after lunch and so we are encouraging everyone to make a special effort to come down before work (we'll be there from 8.30am) or at lunch time if possible, even for half an hour. We want the Embassy staff to know that we are there! So please bring whistles, banners, flags, friends etc. The protest will conclude at 7.30pm. The IPSC office will be open tomorrow evening (Wednesday 4th) for banner painting, and if you can help on Thursday morning/evening transporting materials between the office in Dame Street and the Embassy please reply to this email or call the office

Now we aren't presenting these type of thing as a model, you can't just go marching into all your local consulates or embassies when the mood takes you, oh no, you have to have a good reason, otherwise they'll change the rules or something and the embassies won't be "hiding places" anymore, and if the USAF could blast the diplomatic mission of the Holy See with loud music to get Noreiga out why can't a few muppets make some noise with their air horns in Dublin????
exactly, if you wish to avoid the irritating confiscation of your air sirens that are covered by both European and local legal provisions on noise polution, you can always bring a long length of garden hose, if attached to a funnel, such as may be had by cutting off the top of a litre bottle of water you get a most effective musical instrument that sounds sort of Tibetan Buddhist-ish and doesn't quite hit your pocket as much when the Gardaí take it.
