Who Will Guard Us Against the Guardian?s ?Fact Checks?? Mon Jul 22, 2024 15:34 | David Craig
The Guardian has published a 'fact check' of Donald Trump's claims about inflation and immigration. Just one problem, says David Craig: the 'fact check' gets its facts wrong. Who will guard us against the Guardian?

The Office of Budget Intractability Mon Jul 22, 2024 11:00 | Andrew Colllingwood
Labour has brought forward a Bill giving the Office of Budget Responsibility a "fiscal lock" over future economic policy. This is one more step in the erosion of parliamentary democracy, says Andrew Collingwood.

No, the CrowdStrike Debacle is Not a Warning of What Could Happen if we Introduce CBDCs Mon Jul 22, 2024 09:00 | Anonymous IT Reporter
The CrowdStrike debacle was not a harbinger of things to come if we introduce CBDCs, argues the Daily Sceptic's IT expert. A U.K. CBDC would be designated as Critical National Infrastructure and hence not be vulnerable.

Today's rally at the Phoenix Park monument was attended by approximately 200 to 300 people who gathered from about 2pm onwards. The rally was simply a gathering of likeminded people who are fed up with being locked down and having their basic liberties taken away under false pretences. Whilst the Garda had a presence they did not try to stop the gathering. They were though quite unnecessarily intimidating as they drove a public order van and an incident unit ambulance onto the field at one stage and then left again. It was all just imagery and theatre for the other people in the park to make them think something criminal was going on when it was just simply a bunch of people trying to exercise their basic freedoms. They even had a helicopter droning overhead. Another waste of tax payer money
At about 3:30pm the crowd decided to march to the GPO and it appears that on the way to fulfil the needs for RTE and the lying mainstream media, to get the words "arrest" into their evening headlines, they randomly arrested a number of people for breaking the ridiculous 5km travel restriction. In a city that is at least 30 km across and filled continuously with people it makes no sense whatsoever to have any sort of rule like the 5km one, since the city would consist of literally one million overlapping 5km circles. It is complete and utter nonsense and anyone who buys into such mumbo jumbo needs their head examined
The march seemed to pick up a few people along the way and they eventually assembled outside the GPO. Most of the people present seem to be of a very wide and diverse group but it was notable that a bunch of young men appeared who seemed a bit drunk and were definitely not present earlier, were the most vocal ones and seem to be trying to stir things up. They were clearly there to play a set piece for the media but did not succeed in getting anyone to join their antics. In this case it was a failed attempt by the authorities to discredit the protest group and it seems they did not pay these guys enough. The theatre continued in the city centre with no less than 6 public order vans packed with Stasi but alas they didn't get their chance to riot against the people.
