Marian Price Picket outside Amnesty International offices, 2nd Feb, 3pm

The Marian Price Committee are holding a picket outside Amnesty International's Dublin HQ, 48 Fleet Street, Temple Bar, at 3pm on Saturday afternoon, the 2nd of February, in support of Irish citizen, Marian Price, who is being interned, without trial, by the sectarian occupation régime in the six counties.

I'm very glad to see that the spotlight is being put on Amnesty International - a group that has been posing as a group concerned with political prisoners, but who have never helped even one of the tens of thousands of Irish political prisoners, over the last four decades.

This is not mere omission on the part of Amnesty International. It is a direct statement, on their part, that they do not believe that there has ever been political prisoners in Ireland. What is particularly sickening, is that David Ford, the British agent in charge of the captivity of political prisoners in the occupied six counties, is a member of Amnesty International.

It is also sickening that when the Marian Price committee wrote to AI, in Dublin, they were answered by a senior member, who is also a member of PSF, who told the committee that Marians case was not one that AI would become involved in, i.e. that Marian Price is not a political prisoner.

It is high time that these imperialist rats were challenged, right in front of their Dublin nest.
